Mount Bozo

Cat walls are all the rage right now and I jumped right on the bandwagon.  Rosie is a climber, but she’s not good at it. Just this week, she’s knocked over the big ladder (I caught it before it slammed into the wall), the Flexible Flyer that holds up the television antenna in the living room, everything on my desk, and my homemade seltzer-making contraption. She broke the gage and bent the little pipe that connects to the tank. The whole thing has to weigh about 10 pounds and it’s been sitting in the same spot for three years, so I thought it was safe.

I was wrong.

This fancy indoor climbing wall full of shelves and things is a work in progress. It’s not very popular yet, but I think it will be as I add more accessible surfaces.  Rudy’s not a fan, but I think he’ll learn to like it, too.

I didn’t bother to plan anything, so it’ll probably change. There’s another beam on the other side of the (dirt-encrusted) ceiling fan, so maybe a fun suspension bridge should go there.

A small cardboard barrel hangs from a beam. There's an orange cat inside. Next to the barrel is a shelf, on which a small calico cat sits.
